This webinar is an exploration of recent and past criticisms of homeopathy as a naturopathic modality. In this exploration we’ll address the differences between various methods of practice labeled as homeopathy and clarify reasons homeopathic treatment may be perceived as ineffective. The session will also cover the efficacy of homeopathy via a case study that demonstrates classical homeopathic prescribing as well as various research studies. The focus of the research provided in the session will be on major depression due to the frequency with which naturopaths encounter the condition. The ultimate aim of the session is to not only describe the legitimacy of homeopathy in naturopathic medicine but to show that it is essential in many cases in which the patient is refractory to conventional treatment or is unable to partake in other treatments without significant side effects.
