Mental health presents growing challenges for children and adolescents especially the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this practical presentation, we will explore the various ways in which anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders surface in children and teens. Diagnostic testing options will be discussed, too. We will then review the state of current evidence for naturopathic treatments for these mental health concerns. Finally, we will discuss case studies, yours and mine, to understand how to apply these treatment principles with actual patients.

Learning Objectives

1.    Examine the prevalence of anxiety and OCD in the pediatric population

2.    Discuss the testing options for anxiety and OCD

3.    Review the current state of evidence in regards to naturopathic treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD

4.    Discuss practical implementation of treatment plans through case studies

This webinar will be presented by Caroline Meyer, ND. Dr. Meyer is passionate about working with children, teens and their diverse families to make substantial and sustained changes in their health. Her particular clinical interests are in pediatrics, mental health, sleep medicine, mindfulness & integrating trauma.
