On March 17, PsychANP will host a webinar, “COVID-19 Burnout & Compassion Fatigue” with Karen Lamb, ND, LPC.
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented healthcare providers with a tremendous personal and clinical burden unlike anything we have ever experienced before. The grief stemming from every possible form of loss has been difficult to grasp and has put a strain on the clinician’s own resources, threatening one of the highest incidences of burnout ever observed.
In this presentation you will learn to recognize and manage compassion fatigue. We will discuss the role of COVID 19 in compassion fatigue and how to mitigate its impact on quality of care for you and your patients.
Learning Objectives:
1. Be able to define and recognize compassion satisfaction.
2. Be able to define and recognize compassion fatigue.
3. Be able to state the relationship between mindfulness and compassion satisfaction.
4. Understand the role of grief and loss surfacing from the COVID pandemic within the provider and their clients/patients.
5. Discuss the role of competency in preventing burnout during the COVID pandemic.
